UPDATE – 10/11/18 AS OF 5:30 PM
We are very grateful to report that Alys Beach received minimal damage in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael. We had a crew on the ground throughout the storm and today, several team members were able to begin an assessment of what impact was made.
We are still without power, however, and do not have a timeline from Gulf Power when we can expect it to be restored. Therefore, all of our outlets will remain closed. Once power is back on, we will have to clean out all of the food & beverage provisions and reorder inventory so it could be a while before we are fully operational.
Our hearts are heavy upon learning that several of our team members have lost their homes and/or received extensive damage and we want to do all we can to assist them. We will keep you up to date on those efforts so you can help if you’d like to – if you yourself need assistance, please let us know immediately.
UPDATE – 10/10/18 AS OF 7:00 pm CST
We are very fortunate that we escaped Hurricane Michael with what appears to be minimal damage and no flooding. We do know that the power is currently off and we do not know at this time when it will be restored. We plan on assessing the damage tomorrow and determining the safety of the community – we will post updates as we receive them from our crews on the ground.
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Michael to the east of us.
