Benefiting The Autism Society
The 3rd Annual 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run returns to the beautiful resort town of Alys Beach August 31, 2014. Located along HWY 30A, the course winds through the streets of Alys Beach and into the Nature Trail. The event also features an oversized obstacle course for kids of all ages and will end with music from Shane from Rock the House, food, beverages, and the award ceremony in the Amphitheatre. The price to participate in the certified 5K is $35 and the 1 Mile Fun Run is $15 (kids 12 and younger only, please). Event proceeds will benefit the Autism Society.
ABOUT THE AUTISM SOCIETY
The Autism Society is the nation’s leading grassroots autism organization. The organization helps to improve the lives of all affected by Autism by increasing public awareness about the day-to-day issues faced by people on the spectrum. The Autism Society also spends time advocating for appropriate services for individuals across the lifespan, and provides the latest information regarding treatment, education, research, and advocacy.
ABOUT ALYS FOUNDATION
The Alys Foundation was established to provide funding for the purpose of sustaining the long-term community values of Alys Beach. The funds from The Alys Foundation are used to enhance the experiences of our families and to preserve and enhance the quality of life of our community members. Our primary focus is the town of Alys Beach, but we will also focus our initiatives in the Walton County community at large.
The Alys Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established to support the long-term community values of the town. Funds can be used to finance community, environmental, cultural and educational programs at Alys Beach as well as to help other nonprofit organizations in the greater Walton County community.
