Alys Beach, Florida – (January 21, 2008) – The town of Alys Beach announced that it will host its first free "Movie Night" on Friday, February 1st at 7 p.m.

Open to the public, the free outdoor event will feature 1993's hit film, "Groundhog Day" starring Bill Murray, in which a local weather man has a very bad day … over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. The film is rated PG.

The event will be held on Fonville Green, adjacent to Fonville Press, a popular coffee shop, newsstand and wine bar in Alys Beach. A real-live groundhog is NOT expected to pop his head up out of Fonville Hill during the event, but experts attribute that to statistical improbability, and do not expect the fact to have any bearing on near-term local weather patterns.
