Santa Rosa Beach, Florida – (March 5, 2008) – For forty years, Kent DuChaine has traveled the globe, sharing his passion for the Delta Blues along with "Leadbessie," his duct-taped 1934 National Steel Guitar. During his career, DuChaine has shared the stage with music legends such as John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Bukka White, Willie Dixon, Howling Wolf, Margie Evans, Snookie Pryor and Johnny Shines. He's performed on a Grammy-nominated album, and he's toured Europe more than 50 times, where his stage show was hailed by The London Times as "one of the five best concerts in the U.K."

"Kent is one of the few people who can really play Robert Johnson material with conviction and power," said Robert Tilling of Britain's Blueprint Magazine.

Perhaps the most famous Delta Bluesman, Robert Johnson's landmark 1930's recordings influenced generations of musicians, including Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Neil Young and Eric Clapton, who called Johnson "the most important blues musician who ever lived."

In 1989, Kent DuChaine teamed up with the legendary Johnny Shines, a man who spent more than three years on-the-road with Robert Johnson. Together, DuChaine and Shines recorded Back to the Country, which won the coveted WC Handy Award for "Best Country Blues Album." They were also invited by the Smithsonian Institute to perform at the 25th Annual Festival of American Folklife, which resulted in a Grammy-nominated album called Roots of Rhythym & Blues: A Tribute to the Robert Johnson Era.

DuChaine will play three local shows, including performances at Stinky's Fish Camp in Santa Rosa Beach on Friday, March 21st and Saturday, March 22nd at 9:00 p.m. He will also perform on Friday, March 28th at Fonville Press in Alys Beach.
