Alys Beach, Florida – (June 26, 2008) – Architectural and fine art photographer Eric Marcus will visit Fonville Press on Friday, July 11th from 5pm until 7pm to debut, discuss and sign his new book, "Alligator Lake." The beautiful new book is described as "a tribute to one of South Walton's coastal dune lakes."

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Marcus received his degree in American History from Syracuse University in 1989. After graduation, he lived in Denver and Maine for several years, doing everything from "working in a boat yard to selling gourmet coffee." Marcus moved back to New York City in 1995 and enrolled at Pratt Institute, where he earned a second Bachelor's degree in Architecture. He worked for several architecture firms in New York and Florida before finally becoming a professional photographer.

"Once an aspiring architect, I have an affinity for the built environment," said Marcus. "Upon moving to Northwest Florida, my love for buildings has only grown with the introduction of New Urbanist towns such as Seaside, Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach."

From 6pm to 9pm the same night, Fonville Press will also feature one of its very popular "Trivia Night" parties, hosted by comedian Kevin Boyle of The Seaside Repertory Theater.

"Trivia Night is one of our most popular events," said Kelli Arnold, Event Coordinator at Alys Beach. "First-timers often drop-in just to enjoy one glass of wine, but they always end up playing and laughing all night long."

Fonville Press is a coffee shop, newsstand and wine bar located on Scenic 30A in Alys Beach. These events are free and open to the public.
