Alys Beach, Florida – (October 2, 2008) – A Birmingham native and University of Alabama graduate recently joined the real estate sales team in Alys Beach, Florida. The resort town is being developed by Birmingham's EBSCO Industries, and is named after Alys Stephens, who co-founded the company with her husband in the 1940s.

Although Annie Mangrum was born and raised in Birmingham, she's lived in several major U.S. cities, including Houston and Los Angeles. But in 1990, she moved to the tranquil "Scenic 30A" area of Florida's panhandle.

"I wanted to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing life by the water, while providing a safe and positive environment to raise my son," said Mangrum. "That's why it's so rewarding to be a part of Alys Beach, where the community's entire focus is on creating family memories and lasting legacies."

In addition to her real estate expertise, Mangrum loves the arts, and also has extensive experience in the financial industry.
