The Alys Beach Community Center

While Alys Beach is designed with many communal spaces, The Alys Beach Community Center serves as a central locale to meet with others and to hold planned or impromptu events. Designed by Town Architects Marieanne Khoury-Vogt and Erik Vogt, this generous and spacious compound home is outfitted with amenities not found elsewhere at Alys Beach: a home theatre, a health and fitness center complete with weights, and a game room.

Located in the heart of the Town Center, it's at the hub of activity, with the amphitheatre and George’s at Alys Beach restaurant practically next door, and Fonville Press, Caliza Pool, Clermont Courts and The Beach Club just a short walk away.

George's at Alys Beach features a menu that is divided into two sides: "Behaving" and "Misbehaving," so diners can indulge in fried-seafood po' boys, hamburgers, Philly cheese steak sandwiches and the owners' signature grouper sandwich, or organic, locally grown produce featured in soups and salads.

Heading west from the Community Center, it's just a short walk to Fonville Press. Part bookstore, part coffee shop, part restaurant and part wine bar, Fonville Press features a refined atmosphere where you can pick up a paper and chat about the day’s news with a neighbor over morning coffee or enjoy a midday lunch while children run up and down the Big Hill outside.

As you walk toward the beach from the Community Center, The Beach Club lies just a few blocks away. Overlooking the Gulf, The Beach Club features a main pool with a waterfall cascading to a family pool below. It's a delightful, alternative way to enjoy the beach.

The Community Center is open to Alys Beach guests and owners Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
